My favorite part of candid photography is capturing a fleeting moment of connection. Whether it’s an idea, a laugh, or a moment of reflection. Making time stand still feels like magic.
In my day job, I capture photos of educational programming or networking events.
Art & Music Event Photography:
A good friend of mine, Alex Dimas, co-curated an exhibition at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond. The exhibition was called Hilos Heredados. In the words of the curators:
“Hilos Heredados, a multidisciplinary exhibition in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, explored the intersections of sexuality, gender expression, religion, spirituality, and cultural identity through Latino and LatinX art.”
She asked me to fill in as an event photographer to help document her first curated exhibit. It was a wonderful experience to see the Richmond community come together to celebrate LatinX heritage from behind the lens of a camera.
